WHY INCLINE VILLAGE

The Nevada side of Lake Tahoe only has a few exclusive neighborhoods. Incline Village – Crystal Bay is known to be one of them, if not the best. As the 2nd wealthiest community (zip code) in Nevada and 53rd in the US, Incline Village is a little-known secret. Named after the Great Incline Tramway built by loggers in 1878, Incline Village is now home to some of Lake Tahoe’s most breathtaking mountain retreats. Tucked away in the most North-Eastern area of Lake Tahoe, this charming community has beautiful beaches that provide picturesque viewing of Lake Tahoe’s famous sunsets, over Crystal Bay.

There are countless activities offered in this area including the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival at nearby Sand Harbor, which is also a great area for kayaking and Stand – Up Paddling (“SUP”). For those that mountain bike, the Flume Trail is an intermediate to expert experience. The new $40.5 million-dollar, 3-mile paved trail that follows along Lake Tahoe’s East shoreline compete with a 810 foot bridge, is the longest in the basin and is an immediate favorite with bicyclists, runners, walkers and dogs alike. Within a few minutes driving, there are two world class ski & snowboard resorts, Diamond Peak (within the city limits) and Mt. Rose. The Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa & Casino (in Incline Village) has a private beach, great dining options as well as gaming.

Summer brings out the best in outdoor recreation. North Lake Tahoe offers all of the outdoor activities with the added bonus of spectacular scenery. Get out on the water by waterskiing, kayaking, taking a lake cruise or SUP. For a private view of America’s most beautiful alpine lakes, hike or mountain bike one of the hundreds of trails in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

There’s no other place in the world quite like North Lake Tahoe.  It is a place of two contrasting extremes; a winter wonderland and everything a summer can offer.  With an average snowfall of more than 400 inches per year, winter affords visitors an array of snowy activities from world class skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, dogsled tours, snow shoeing and ice skating. From shoreline to slopes, it is all waiting for you in Incline Village.

To breathe the same air as the angels, you must go to Tahoe” -Mark Twain
